(via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vvork.com\/\">vvork<\/a>).<br \/>\na particular interesting double guitar can be seen <a href=\"http:\/\/meatexz.com\/cheesyguitars\/ussr_doubleneck.html\">here<\/a> beeing half a bass. Also worth mentioning is conkling guitars&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conklinguitars.com\/images\/awardbass.jpg\">double neck bass<\/a> (with seven strings each). Up to <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.webshots.com\/photo\/1009462501015018584fuCNansquH\">five-neck<\/a> guitars are used now and then.<br \/>\nHowever, the tendency of joining body parts seems to be more universal (and not only the double reed as <acronym title=\"from a chinese oboe\">shown above<\/acronym>): There is for example <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonroseweb.com\/d_picts_10_string.html\">Jhon Rose&#8217;s double violin<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stroudflutes.com\/double.html\">&#8220;mystic&#8221; double flute<\/a> wich seems to be similar to the Bulgarian Dvoyanka the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nettleandmarkham.com\/double_piano.htm\">double piano<\/a> from 1928, or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.horncollector.com\/Trumpets\/Sax%20Shaped%20Trumpets\/Miraphone%20Double%20Belled%20Trumpet.htm\">double belled trumpet<\/a>.
