{"id":5400,"date":"2013-10-22T20:46:55","date_gmt":"2013-10-22T18:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=5400"},"modified":"2013-10-22T22:08:31","modified_gmt":"2013-10-22T20:08:31","slug":"altruism-vs-selfish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=5400","title":{"rendered":"Altruism vs. selfish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There seems to be an interesting article adressing climate change challenges called: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nclimate\/journal\/vaop\/ncurrent\/full\/nclimate2024.html\">&#8220;Intra- and intergenerational discounting in the climate game.&#8221;<\/a> Despite the fact that the article claims to contribute to a better dissemination of knowledge about climate change the article is behind a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nclimate\/journal\/vaop\/ncurrent\/full\/nclimate2024.html#access\">pay wall.<\/a> And despite the fact that at least some of the authors seem to be payed (?) by a german public institution (that is they are listed under staff) the article seems also not available via their institutions <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evolbio.mpg.de\/1337472\/Research_Group_Evolutionary_Theory?year=2013\">list of publications.<\/a> Are the authors or the institutions paid by the publisher?
