{"id":165,"date":"2006-06-15T21:58:36","date_gmt":"2006-06-15T19:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=165"},"modified":"2007-06-03T10:34:57","modified_gmt":"2007-06-03T08:34:57","slug":"3-from-2-follow-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=165","title":{"rendered":"3 from 2 follow up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img id=\"image164\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/wp-content\/2006\/06\/NamenlosAnimationKlein3.gif\" alt=\"NamenlosAnimationKlein.gif\" \/><br \/>\nwe get hyperselfreferential to improve our google ranking :). <\/p>\n<p>I.e. this is a follow up to the two posts <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=45\">\u201cJourn\u00e9es Informatique et G\u00e9om\u00e9trie\u201d 2006<\/a> and to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=163\">3 from 2 (dimensions of course).<\/a>&#8212; Or to put it differently: I couldn&#8217;t resist to try out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.cmu.edu\/~dhoiem\/projects\/popup\/index.html\">software<\/a> mentioned in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randform.org\/blog\/?p=163\">3 from 2 (dimensions of course).<\/a> As a matter of fact the software works brilliantly on minimalistic math buildings. In particular it turned the image of the Nautibus building on the Campus in Lyon in to a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Potyomkin_Village\">Potyomkin<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.alcorn.fr\/applications\/Nautibus.htm\"> Nautibus.<\/a> Next time I try <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digital.udk-berlin.de\/de\/projects\/summer05\/foundation\/roer.html\">Roermond-Ecke-Sch\u00f6nhauser<\/a><br \/>\n(&#8220;corner of Roermond and Schoenhauser Strasse&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.math.tu-berlin.de\/geometrie\/lab\/misc.shtml\"> jReality filereader<\/a> (I have nothing to do with this bear!) has sofar no VRML2.0 parser, so I had  to use Xj3D, whose navigation is mildly speaking &#8220;uncomfortable&#8221;.
